Golf at Level 2
Level 2 continues, and the committee decided at their meeting on Monday 20 Sept to carry on with the status quo, until the next level announcement in two weeks time. There is a full copy of the NZ Golf rules for level 2 at the starters shed, but in short, there will be no official competitions, and we continue with closure of the clubhouse, toilets, sheds, and no cart hires. Below are the current rules:
There are no bookings required. You can turn up for a game, but physical distancing of 2 metres between all staff, players and visitors both on the golf course, in the carpark, and at the starters shed IS MANDATORY.
YOU MUST SCAN IN WITH YOUR PHONE, OR LEAVE YOUR NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS. NB: The procedure for non-phone scan people has changed, there are record keeping slips – fill one out with your details, and put it into the CASH SLOT under the window. This ensures no-one will see your personal information. Records are kept for 60 days and then securely disposed of.
FLAGSTICKS are back in BUT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE TOUCHED – NOT FLAG NOR STICK! If the greenkeeper or any committee member sees anyone handling these, they WILL BE REMOVED AGAIN.
Play in groups of FOUR – MAXIMUM, and distance must be kept in between groups.
SCORECARDS – Keep your own card, and record the name – not the signature - of your marker. Do not exchange cards, and put directly into the card slot for recording.
Toilets remain closed as they need constant cleaning and we do not have staff to do this. Same with the bar. We will let you know when we will open both, and when competitions will resume.
Thanks for your co-operation, if everyone follows the guidelines we can all enjoy our golf without incident and hope for a quick return to Level One.
Kind regards, the Committee
