SATURDAY COMPETITION 9 OCT 2021

Hello golfers

Hope you are all keeping dry in the current weather! Here is the news you've been waiting for!

The results of our poll for a 10am start on Saturday were overwhelmingly in favour of the 10am start time, only one vote against.

SO: Competition will RESUME this Saturday 9th Oct: REPORT AT 9.30am for TEE OFF TIME at 10am .

The President also intends to hold the mens prizegiving which was held over from August, this Saturday.

AND of course there are rules!

As we are still at level 2 the following restrictions will apply:

All players must sign in or scan on arrival

2 metre distancing is essential in all areas especially around the starters shed etc while signing in.

Keep your own card but put the name of your partner on it, rather than having them sign it.

No club equipment is to be used (read - carts, hire clubs etc) and there is still to be no touching of flagsticks - 1 metre gimmes will be allowed for the competition.

The club house will be open - but masks must be worn inside when not drinking or eating, and only one person at the bar at a time, and keep your distance around the tables.

Sandwiches will be on again, keep your distance from others when picking up - one person at a time please, and wear your mask. Just like all of you have been doing anyway whilst out and about in town.

AND lastly, currently our major sponsor the NBS are holding an appeal for the rescue helicopter. Try to pop in to their branch in Takaka next time you're in, and leave a donation of any amount to show them our support, just as they support us at the Golf Club!
